How to Lay a Horse on Betfair

It is now possible on betting Exchanges to lay a horse (effectivly back a horse to lose).

Here we are going to show you how to do lay a horse on Betfair at present the biggest betting exchange.

So how do we lay a horse on betfair.

1. Log into your betfair account

2. Go to the market that you want to lay a selection in (eg horse race market) using the links on betfair

3. When you have the race exchange screen infront of you look like this below

4. To Lay the horse ( you think it will lose) you place a Lay bet by clicking one of the pink buttons the top number eg 2.3 being the price you will lay at and the numbers below being the amount of money that is available at that moment to take a bet at that price.See image below

5.The box on the left shows info of you placing the lay bet you then if agree to that price put in the amount of money you would like to place , this then shows your liabilty (loss if the horse wins) if you agree to this then place the bet with the button place bets button as per image below.
